Feeling rather "blue".
.
I feel like I'm stagnating. Professionally, I understand there is no roadmap and "success" is a relative term, but I really feel lost sometimes. Like, sure, I would love to get an honest portfolio review, I would love to gain representation from a large and respected agency, but I am constantly worried I'm not good enough. I feel as though my work lacks a consistent vision, and even though individual photos may look nice, taken as a whole my portfolio doesn't say anything. And even if to an audience they do, I don't see it, which is troubling in it's own way. Even still, if I identify one, how do I advertise and replicate it?
.
I am taking steps, re-developing my website with an actual web designer, and once that's up and running I'll have something to grasp onto and project, but that's only the start. I love photography and enjoy the work, but in the end, work needs to be profitable. I wish it were easier, but that's why so many people think they can do it. If it actually were easier, everyone would.
