When Alex told me he still wanted to propose once this past Wednesday rolled around, I honestly thought the guy had to be NUTS.
Everything is closed, it was storming outside and we had little to no idea how the plan would unravel.
I knew I could keep the distance, that not being the issue — but I seriously questioned whether we should reschedule for a day more ‘ideal.’ Because so often, we are faced with expectation on what these sweet moments should look like. I’m guilty of it, even myself.

Even with the clouds darkening, I’ve never met a more persistent man in my life.
And special it was.
was smitten and we frolicked around the empty streets in the pouring rain, capturing whatever we could for these two.
Amidst these wild days, my heart is comforted to see the way couples have grown more intentional with one another, love a little deeper and hold eachother a little tighter.
Covid-19 can give us whatever limitations it calls for.
But it cannot restrict our love and the space it takes up in absence of everything else.
