morning spread ✨ let’s talk about content! what kind of content do you want to see from me (or other beauty bloggers in general) in 2020? do you follow me for the general aesthetic of my feed or to read my reviews?
this year has been a rollercoaster for me, and I’ve found it incredibly hard to keep up with creating content, engaging, and maintaining a strong presence on this platform—as we all know, it can feel incredibly draining sometimes (especially when you have a full-time day job to keep up with)! if you’re a fellow creator, how do you keep up? how do you find the inspiration to keep creating? how do you find the time to regularly engage with your following and other content creators? I sometimes have small bursts where I find the time to shoot a few days worth of content, write copy, and engage with others, but after a few days, I feel burnt out and uninspired again. how do you keep going? please share your wisdom!
as for Instagram, how are we feeling about it? what always discourages me is when I have a burst of creativity, post for several days in a row, and my engagement continues to be shit. I’m definitely starting to move in the direction of posting whatever I want to keep my engagement strong and steady, but I still find it incredibly difficult and time consuming to keep up with 😅 on another note, I started this page to share my skincare routine and reviews, but I’m starting to accept less PR and test less products because I’ve found a core routine my skin is happy with and don’t want to risk the state of my skin for the sake of a review that many people won’t read since Instagram kills my engagement 🙃 I’m rambling, but I definitely want to do bigger and better things with my content in 2020—I hope you’ll stick around 🖤
