Running into race week and my last race of the year at the @darksiderunning
Sunrise Ultra. Excited to head out now and explore some of my local and favourite trails along the Norfolk Coast Path this weekend, albeit with a slightly different challenge running through the night in this one. A month on from Wendover 50, I’m not sure what the legs will have in them, but a 7:58am Sunrise over the sea towards the finish will certainly give me something to work towards 🌅
But whatever happens on Saturday, I look back on this years running so happy and grateful for a year full of great experiences and adventures: trips to run around the hills in the Lake District; a marathon PB; opportunities to learn and work with great runners; ticking off one my dream races at the Lakeland 50; turning hard work into proud moments; sunny trails and muddy miles; enjoying the best pizza at the end of @maverickrace
; seeing the other side crewing and volunteering; and my favourite being lots of good times with good friends.
More than anything, this year has confirmed just how important it is to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Embrace the challenge, be brave and say yes more often to opportunities that come your way. You’ll be really glad you did. 😃
