Day 347. Brockhampton - Tonya. When Brockhampton first emerged onto the hip hop scene with their Saturation trilogy, they represented a unique, intelligent, youthful and energetic voice in the hip hop scene. However, shortly after the end of that album trilogy, they ended up having to (rightfully) kick out one of their pivotal members after sexual assault allegations. When they returned with new music in 2018, it was different: much more sobering and mature. This culminates in their song Tonya, in many ways the emotional centerpiece of Iridescence. The song opens with bearface’s gorgeous singing over a lone piano. It’s heartbreaking and the mood doesn’t lighten up when the beat picks up. All the verses are very vulnerable and emotional. Muz insan zihninde daima cinsel çağrışımı bol, müstehcen ve şehvetli bir meyve olarak hayatını sürdürmekte biraz geriye gidersek #thevelvetunderground grubunun 1967 yılında çıkardığı ve albümde cinselliğin ön plâna çıkan şarkılarla ( albümün kapak tasarım #andywarhol tarafından yapıldı) albümüm kapağında yer alan "soy ve gör" sloganı muz'un insan zihninde çok masum olmadığının kanıtı olarak görülebilir. Albümün başarıya ulaşmasının en büyük etkilerininden birinin Andy Warhol tasarımı olan o muz'un olması olabilir? Yani ikonik bir tasarım olma amacı ile yola çıkmış bir çalışma (tartışılır) ilk değildi ve son da olmayacak. #Cattelan Amacına ulaşmamış olarak görülsede aslında sanatçının tahmin ettiğinden daha üst noktalarda yerini almıştır.
