MEET THE CAST:
Pete Haase is an actor, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, & film composer. He has acted in over 30 shorts (several award-winning), some of which have screened at the Maine International Film Festival, Boston Underground, Emerge, 60 Second Horror Challenge (Charleston, SC), Die Laughing Film Festival (Los Angeles, CA), Severed VHS Fest (Stroudsburg, PA), Great Lakes International Shorts Festival (Erie, PA), Maine Mayhem, Damnationland, & others. Pete was invited to be an Artist-in-Residence at Maine Media Workshops in Rockland, Maine where he worked with Hollywood directors, Alan Myerson, Peter Werner, and cinematographer, Zach Zamboni. Music Pete produced can be heard in the David J. Garfield film, "The Rude, the Mad and the Funny," starring Arthur Wahlberg, along with music by the late great, Eddie Money. Other production roles in film also include music coordinator, writer, editor, creative producer, casting, & more.
I've liked Pete's work since I first saw him in small roles like "Champ" and "42 Atwood Lane" at the Maine Mayhem Film Festival. I see him almost as the ultimate character actor in the Portland community, popping up in small roles in short films I don't expect to see him in (I sometimes will say aloud "Oh Pete's in this!" When he does lead a project, he's always an engaging presence. While he may not have the biggest role in this film, I'm excited to see what he will bring to this role.
If you want to see Pete in "Magnum Opus," the link to the campaign is in the bio!
