1). Why am I like this?!? (My face in the first picture 🙈😂) 2). Change takes time!!!!!! .
🚨 LONG POST ALERT 🚨 .
I started my fitness journey 3 years ago this month. I started with a personal trainer (a friend in Denver) who wrote me an online home workout plan. It wasn’t long before I got bored, which is when I found @toneitup
and this wonderful #tiucommunity
I followed the workouts and did the challenges and everything was wonderful for awhile, but then I lost interest again ☹️ In summer of 2017, my love affair with lifting began. I loved how strong and empowered I felt after pushing weight!! I followed along with @laurengleisberg
for awhile which was AMAZING!! And then I found @liv_knox 😍🔥 She challenged me in a way I didn’t know possible!! She wrote my plans and I would look at them like this 😳🙅🏻♀️ But then I would do them and feel so freaking strong, and there’s no stopping me now!!
People often ask how I stay motivated to workout. I simply answer this, I’ve found something that I am TRULY passionate about and it’s turned into a “get to” and never a “have to”. If you’re struggling with the current routine you’re in, maybe look at switching it up?? For me, I really love the idea of doing the same plan for 6-8 weeks and trying to increase weight throughout that time, but fitness really does look different for everyone!! Just do you, but have fun while doing it 😉💃🏻😂
For reference, I weighed 8 pounds less in my crazy before picture than I do in my current one, and I eat 3 more meals a day now than I did back then. Don’t get wrapped up in numbers and such!! Find your niche and then learn as much as you can about it!! And also.... be super duper patient 😉😘
