#🏅 || The most frequent question I get about returning to school full-time while maintaining a full-time career is, “How?!” Here’s how: for the last two years, I’ve woken up at 2:30am, done an average of 4 hours of schoolwork *before* my roughly 10-hour workdays begin, another few hours of schoolwork at night, and as much as 20 hours on weekends, with no summer breaks and through multiple moves, promotions, and, you know, life!
I didn’t always handle my stress well, and I questioned whether I was “up for this” more times than I can count. But with the ceaseless belief and motivation from my rock, @theirontron
, loved ones, my @medicalcollegeofwi
colleagues, and my @uwmilwaukee professors, every day — every. single. day. — I did still it.
And today, at the age of 32, I finally graduated with my degree in #Economics
with a 4.0, with half a dozen different honors, and with admission to a dual #Masters
program at one of the most prestigious universities on the planet, @johnshopkinsu.
My world has opened in ways I thought had long ago passed me by, and I cannot wait to see what it has in store for me next. #👩🏻🎓 #🚀 #NeverTooLate
