Long Post ...
Thinking back to happier times for this wonderful city ... going through some pics, I had always wanted to take one of these iconic photos of the #flatironbuilding
, and I was able to do this on my 2nd visit to NY, in early hours of the morning, New Years Day, walking to #katzdelicatessen
(2019) ... It hurts my heart to wake up to the news of so many new cases, and deaths.
I'm thinking about all of the wonderful people we have met on our travels ... all the wonderful servers who were kind and patient with our accents, the super cool #duanereade
workers who gave me discounts, even though I didn't have a members card "I got you" they'd say - I hope you are all safe.
worker who gave us a free ticket he had put aside for a friend who didn't show, thank you, I hope you are safe!! The beautiful tour guide, Justine, who showed Sarah and I the historic Financial District and took us walking in the same footstepssteps as George Washington and Alexander Hamilton - before we even knew who Hamilton was ... I hope you are safe!! The coolest cat visiting the #StatueofLiberty
who took the AWESOME photo of Sarah and I ... I hope you are safe and well.
Our tour guide #Tony
, from #ASliceOfBrooklynPizzaTours
who still haunts Sarah's nightmares, but makes me laugh everytime I think of that day - I hope you are safe. So many wonderful memories, of so many beautiful, crazy people who make New York the most unique experience. Sending you love and light until we meet again, #NYC
