“From now on, you must take good care of your toys!”
This was for my Sculpture I studio, while I learned how to cast with plaster and wax from rubber molds!
I had discovered that I did not make my key hole as wide as I should have, so as I could not pour plaster in as quick as needed. This resulted in the partial molds.
I decided to keep going with it, letting it play further into my rendition of Sid’s Toys (from Toy Story 1)
I created Dough Baby out of several objects, a Pillsbury Dough Boy replica, a candle holder in the shape of a jaw, and a baby doll. All of which, I purchased from an Antique Store.
The object had to be small enough to fit into your hand.
From the individual parts (dissected antique store items), I sketched what I hoped it would my creation would look like.
I’d say it came close to what I had in mind :)
