Before becoming a mama, the greatest gift and blessing I’ve ever had the chance to experience, I was a wife, but more precisely a woman. Of course, I still am a wife, a woman, but getting lost in my mom role can happen at times, more than I’d want it to. We can become so overwhelmed with the routine, the groceries, preparing all the food for everyone, for every meal, and preparing more just for those other days we won’t want to cook(and my husband is awesome and helps so much) We get lost in cleaning the house, cleaning the clothes, the bedsheets and pillows. We got lost organizing the budget, paying the bills, making sure everyone has shoes to their feet but also being able to go out for supper Friday night when you just don’t feel like cooking or taking out that extra supper you had prepared. Rearranging the dishwasher like it was a Tetris game, kissing the bobo, wiping the butts, change diapers, remove stains, give more milk and more fishies. All of this. I love it, but I get lost sometimes. And it’s okay. It’s OKAY! I am a human being, I have feelings and emotions and it’s just SO normal to experience all of this. But before all of this, yes I was a wife, to which taking time with my husband to enjoy our love and strengths and fuel all that we have is extremely essential. My husband is my everything and if I can be myself today and love myself, it’s mostly because of him. .
But to the woman that I was, before the titles, giving her time, love and attention is so important for my wellbeing. To better my role as a wife and as a mama. To the woman I am today, through all the tough times, harsh past, falling, failing, hurting, being too dependent and learning to become independent, trust myself and others, finding strengths I didn’t know I had, face everyday standing straight up and loving every freakin day that I live. To this woman, that I still am, I love you, you’re a rockstar, worthy of everything you’re beautiful! .
Take time for you and appreciate who you still are♥️
