Cuz perfection is the enemy of progress and if I was going for perfect this time around, I would’ve failed already.

I remember being 15 years old and on a diet. I had googled all about this specific fad diet and printed out all the stupid rules I had to follow - most of which included what I was NOT allowed to have. Ever. Again. 😳😭 It lasted maybe 2 weeks and I ended up a failure.
Then a month later, I’d attempt it again. And again. And again. Then switch to a different fad diet and continue this toxic cycle until the age of 29. Over and over again. My weight has fluctuated 40+ lbs (not including pregnancy) and dozens of inches over the years as I went through high school, college, marriage, birth control, stress, jobs, deadlines, etc. Life is crazy and to be perfect with the strict rules of every fad diet out there can set you up for consistent failure, NOT consistent progress. 👎 Some personality types can thrive on extremely rigid rules, restriction, and striving for absolute perfection....but not me.
I now know I thrive on balance, having grace with myself, and allowing some fun and flexibility in while still being mindful of my portions, quality of food, and how I FEEL.
When you have the right tools to conquer your goals, you will start to feel the joy that naturally comes with feeling GOOD. And feeling GOOD takes a blend of feeling healthy and HAPPY. Stop setting yourself up for failure and set yourself up for a fun and flexible healthy lifestyle.

So, excuse me while I smash on some peanut m&m’s but still get in my superfoods and my new calorie torching 30 minutes barre workout today. 😜🤗
