The 41st Annual Conference of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for the UK took place in
#London last week. This year's event focused on "Energy & the Environment". One of the main topics discussed was specifically the Circular Economy, seeing more and more businesses demonstrating a strong commitment to it. Considering the approaching General Elections, our conference was also at the centre of a political agenda that goes beyond
#Brexit .
Our new President Alessandro Belluzzo opened the event explaining his vision for the Chamber’s future: “the way to make changes is to lead by example: this is why a first, important step will be to become a zero-waste organisation”. In addition to the Italian Ambassador Raffaele Trombetta, guests had the chance to hear different points of view from a number of high-level professionals (e.g.
@CarbonTurst ,
@MaxMara , @Burberry, @TomorrowCrew, and many more). It was also great to acknowledge young Italian entrepreneurs who excelled in their careers in the UK, examples of leadership to other young people, though the Talented Young Italians Awards. Congratulations also to the winning start-ups of the Keynes Sraffa Awards (@Enerbrain, @OrangeFiberBrand, and Rubber Conversion), three virtuous business cases representing excellent examples of green businesses.
Thanks to everyone involved and to all our guests and sponsors (especially @IntesaSanpaolo, CNH Industrial, @Green_Network_Energy_IT).
