“I don’t deserve this”
“I’m going to fail, so why even try?”
How many times have you told yourself at least one of these statements?🤔
All of these statements are examples of a self-limiting belief. We all have self-limiting beliefs— things that we believe to be true, regardless of evidence😯
While some beliefs can be harmless, some can be limiting and toxic. They are formed by repeated thoughts from our interactions with the people in our lives, throughout childhood and adulthood. They are assumptions or perceptions that you have about yourself and about how the world works🌍
Most often, these are the fears that exist in your head that tell you you’re not good enough or deserving enough or whatever other lies you’ve convinced yourself are truths. It’s important that you reject these toxic beliefs— that we don’t let them become truths. You deserve better than that😩
In the picture on the left, I let myself think that my limiting beliefs were the truth. I found it easier to believe my negative beliefs. It was only after many months of building awareness, thoughtful inquiry, challenging my thoughts, and training my brain to transform my beliefs that I was able to see that a lot of what I thought was not true. Through working on my inner self, I was able to work on my outer self and lose nearly 50 pounds (in the picture to the left)🥳
Take the time to understand your self-limiting beliefs, understand them, question them, challenge them, and eventually form new beliefs that allow you to thrive.
Stop being interested in what’s limiting you and become more interested in what makes you limitless. Comment a “🙋🏻♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏿♀️“ if you’re releasing beliefs that no longer serve you.
