It's not about making things appear perfect or easy, either in public OR private. .
.
It's about choosing to gently address the problems (or give grace and let it go, as the situation requires)... and then choosing to focus the lenses of our hearts... AND our literal eyeballs... on the sweet & beautiful & heartening moments quietly dancing around us!!. ❤ .
.
Example: My daughter rarely sits still. 😂 She is very high-energy, high-emotion, highly-impulsive, and moderately sensory-seeking. This moment of stillness is a rare shot. 😂. But I don't love this photo because it's a picture of something I WANT her to be. It's challenging some days, but I wouldn't change who she is for the world! .
.
No, I love this photo because it highlights one of the few things she loves enough to sit still FOR. Books. 😍 Her delight, is precious to me. And that pretty hair is a reminder of the fact that she sat still & bonded with me while I brushed it - again, not an everyday occurence. (AND yes, she IS sitting still... I confess that definitely adds a bit of precious.😂❤).
.
.
But the point is, I have to be intentional about capturing those moments where they are - with the lens of my eyes and my heart, not my phone. .
.
Collect those lovely moments like a bouquet of wildflowers, my friends... and water them well on the kitchen table of your heart!! 🌹🍃❤🤗
