So this is the thing... 🤔
I never anticipated to be where I am now and doing what I’m doing. That is, being a tutor and running my own business. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
See, while I was pregnant, I was made redundant and reality is that no one is going to hire a pregnant lady, regardless our anti discrimination law. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Initially, I wanted to start an online fashion boutique. It was something I always wanted to do and loved. BUT the expenses were to high and you need a large amount of money to make money and that wasn’t my case.
Training and educating was another thing I loved doing and the fact that I had a B.A in literature, history and politics I really wanted to put it to use to empower others. Others happened to be students.
As a mum to be, I needed some reassurance and ensure that I was able to contribute financially to my soon to be family of three. So I hustled, like many other women that I have seen and met on on the Gram. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I hustled for my husband to easy the pressure, I hustled for my baby and I hustled for me.
And I’ve never looked back since. Don’t get me wrong it’s been tough and it’s still can, but honestly on this journey I have met the most amazing kids/students and parents. We have formed incredible bonds and the support and love I continue to feel is just amazing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My students mental and academic wellbeing means EVERYTHING to me and it is a PRIORITY and will remind that way, as it is embedded in the values of this business. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, I can’t wait to share with you all more of me, the importance of student mental health & wellbeing and the amazing work that we do with our students at The Study Hub. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What’s your hustle story? I would love to know 👩🏻
