Today, I parked by the beach nearby my place on my way home and sat in my car and took this picture. I like to drive along the coast especially as the sun is setting. The colours and the magnificence never gets tired.
I sat in my car and just watched the sun go down and felt it was doing the grand production just for me, never mind all the other cars also parked.
This first day of #restwithkingyaa
challenge was a good one, with a couple of intentional 10 minute rests.
Its hard sometimes to be still, I find. I'm always thinking of something that I think that I need to/should be doing and then I have to jot down a note so I won't forget to return to it later. I'm always worried about forgetting shit.
This challenge is a gift to myself, to gently create a space to just do nothing. To just let my thoughts roll by. To notice my breath. To invite my gut to relax, to relax my face, abdominals, gluteus and shoulders. To allow myself to be captivated by this view.
Have you had a moment to #restwithkingyaa
yet? Can you take 5, 10 or 15 minutes to do whatever feels restful and relaxing to you?
I'd love to know what you did to slow your world down for a few minutes today, just for you.
