Finally we're getting to the really gritty stuff! A side project with vocals from Vulvodynia's own Duncan Bentley, a sci-fi twist, and a surprising amount of variety for a brutal death record like this. Its got slams galore, but proves more than once it can pull more than some filth out of its hat.
Now there's no getting around the fact that this record kicks hard like it should, pretty much every song takes off like a bolt of lightning and hits like one too. But despite that, it's surprisingly varied with the occasional melodic guitar section or a sample here or there. Spongebob even makes an appearance with a reference to the pill. If you know, you know. It's also a surprisingly short record, I definitely would've been okay with more music, but it's an easy record to sit through if you're into death metal. 28 minutes and 8 tracks to divvy them up, but despite its short run, it's a fun record with a slight sense of humor. It's a good time, but I think a longer record would hold my attention just a bit more.
