Thursday thoughts... What if all this is an invitation to tread more softly? On the earth, around each other, and within the sore spots of our souls?
What if we saw this pandemic as an interstice, an opening, a breaking down of the stony edifices of "how things are done", a parting in the rockface of "the way things are", and the revealing of a path beckoning us back to our shared humanity?
These past few days, having seen institutions rally together, production lines completely reimagine their output, and an army of bravehearted volunteers spring up, I can't help pondering the concept of the "crack is where the light gets in", the perspective that the surface wound can be seen as the call to deeper healing.
What if this health crisis illuminates the ways we can listen, care for one another and our planet, be softer in our strength as a species, and, maybe, opens a pathway to healing some of the global sickness that preceded covid-19?? Whatever happens, the beauty of nature - which is ultimately what we are - gives me hope. 🙏🌌🏞️🌊🌱
