So many of my clients tell themselves they "should" be happy when they aren’t.
Secretly, they think this will help them BE happier… or at least more grateful.
This is when I see clients do things like give themselves pep talks to "feel better", stay stuck and change nothing because they "should be happy" and continue the cycle of unhappiness.
The truth is, it actually makes things worse.
When you shame yourself for being unhappy, THAT is what you think the problem is.
And when you think that is the problem, you spend your time thinking about how to solve that problem..
Instead of knowing the ACTUAL problem:
Understanding WHY you are unhappy.
When you truly understand this, you can spend your time and energy to find a solution to that.
That is what will ACTUALLY solve the problem.
Not put a bandaid over the problem.
